Emergency Medical Care Facilities partners with The University of Tennessee to bring together our Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program to Jackson, Tennessee.

This program allows family physicians to receive training in emergency medicine and the ability to become board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Physician Specialties. The American Association of Physician Specialists, Inc certifies the fellowship program.

The majority of the training takes place in the emergency room at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital which is the busiest ER in the state of Tennessee and serves 18 counties. This 64 room emergency department has an annual volume of 100,000 visits. Fellowship participants receive specific training in trauma care, management of acute cardiac patients as well as comprehensive management of stroke patients in a certified stroke center.
